The big 50 milestone!

I recently celebrated a 50 milestone. Not it wasn’t a birthday (that is still several years away). It was my 50th donation to Australian Red Cross Lifeblood.

While 50 may sound like a lot of donations, it pales into insignificance compared to some of the top donors who have given over 700 times. What amazing people! It is never too late to start.

I always feel welcomed and valued by the Red Cross Lifeblood team, who are exceptionally friendly, supportive, and knowledgeable. They are great about explaining the process and allaying any of your fears.

I would like to give a special shoutout to the fabulous Red Cross Lifeblood team at the Melbourne Donor Centre on Collins Street. Thank you for your professionalism, warmth, and kindness. I know that with you I am always in good hands, and you are wonderful Red Cross Lifeblood representatives!

This festive season, why not give a truly meaningful gift, the gift of life. The Red Cross Lifeblood need donations all year round (as plasma and blood has a relatively short shelf life). At this time of year many regular donors are traveling, and stocks can get low.

So, there has never been a better time to roll up your sleeve and give the gift of life!
